I believe that reemployment is highly dependent on economic conditions and market sectors. This period being one of the worst economically in many years has made it more difficult to get and longer to be reemployed. The crash came on very suddenly for many, and had many tentacles throughout the economy, creating many stronger sectors to fail as well. Because, it is taking us so long to unweave the tangled web, it will take longer to get back to reemployment. And in the interim, technology and experience may pass many by. I believe many have tried to start business, and probably have even had positions promised to them, if certain things happened. Unfortunately, promises were not able to be kept as the full extent of the recession has been revealed. However, we keep trying, and one day, one idea will break through and build the next economic engine.
